Assam government is going to invite Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment Yojana 2020 to apply online form. In this SVAYEM Self Employment Scheme of Assam, govt. will provide Rs. 50,000 each to 2 lakh youth to encourage entrepreneurship. All the interested candidates can fill the Assam SVAYEM Scheme online application/registration form.

The redesigned SVAYEM Scheme will be launched with a budget of Rs. 1000 crore which is to be spent in the next 3 months without any banking linkage. The 2 lakh beneficiaries would have to be part of self-help groups, joint liability groups, etc before 1 September 2020.

SVAYEM Scheme 2020 will provide financial support to the youths to take up income-generating activities in the manufacturing, trading, and service sector. By utilizing the Rs. 50k seed money received in this scheme, selected youths can start their business ventures.

Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment Yojana aims to generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas through setting up of new ventures as well as growing existing ventures. Eligibility Criteria for SVAYEM Self Employment Scheme 2020-21

All the applicants must fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to become eligible for the SVAYEM Scheme Assam:-

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam state.
  • The age of the applicant must be less than 40 years.
  • He / She must have passed matriculation.
  • The applicant should be a part of the existing Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups, etc. before 1 September 2020.

Redesigned SVAYEM is the biggest self-employment program launched by any government in Assam since Independence. Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment Yojana Project Report

For effective implementation, monitoring, supervision of the scheme, a Project Management Unit (PMU) are going to be found out within the Office of the Commissioner, Industries & Commerce. PMU is going to be headed by one Senior Officer. One IT Officer and one Data Page 7 of 12 Entry Operators are going to be engaged to support the PMU. Remuneration, eligibility, criteria, qualification, and knowledge of IT Officer and DEO are going to be decided by the Commissioner, Industries & Commerce.

They’re going to be engaged for a period of 1 year which can be extended yearly if their services are found to be satisfactory and therefore the scheme continues. they’re going to be released on the closure of the scheme. Regular inspection, field visit, monitoring, assessment, and supervision of the scheme are going to be coordinated and arranged through the PMU.

The PMU shall also screen all the applications recommended by the District Level Committees for the claim of the bank for bad loans or loan defaults which shall be submitted for the claim of the credit risk guarantee fund.
